How many users can Dynamics 365 support?

The Enterprise edition is for 250+ employees and includes the capabilities of Dynamics CRM Online and Dynamics AX.

The Business edition is for 10-250 employees and contains Financials (currently known as Project Madeira) at launch with future expected sales and marketing applications.

How will Dynamics 365 be licensed?

There are two ways to license Dynamics 365 – by application or by personalised role.

Role-based licensing is designed to help you to support employees and the real world roles they fill. Users get full usage rights to PowerApps and Microsoft Flow to compose new apps and easily extend and modify existing ones.

The Team Member License meets the needs of employees who may not need to be full users of any business application. On a day-to-day basis, these employees need to book travel, change their personnel information, update a customer record, or review sales data.  Dynamics 365 offers a Self Service option to enable these employees to perform these tasks themselves and so drive collective productivity.

Do I have to pay for all of Dynamics 365 even if I only use a part?

Role based licensing improves ROI as you pay once for access to the capability you need regardless of which application it resides in. No more buying licenses for multiple different apps, you could save two to three times when compared with other SaaS apps.
